BIRDLIFE MALTA — BirdLife office inundated with shot protected birds and illegal hunting reports:

This Barn Swallow was last Monday recovered shot from Rabat and handed over to the ALE for rehabilitation. Photo by Paul Webb.

Following an influx of falcons and kestrels, this Common Kestrel was recovered with severe gunshot injuries from Bahrija on Tuesday. The bird had to be put down due to the extent of its injuries. Photo by Chloe Swann.

This Honey Buzzard was recovered a few meters away from the Prime Ministers house in Marsascala last Saturday, with a fractured left wing due to gunshot injuries. The bird was given to the ALE for rehabilitation. Photo by Paul Webb.
