  1. This is an awesome pic. I must add that these little birds aren’t the brightest bulb in the pack, ironically to their vivid bright coloring. I have actually held one in my hand myself (in Michigan). At first, I thought something was wrong with the bird, but after observation and handling, oh, no, I almost had to shoo him away! For awhile I thought that it was a domestic “lost” bird, but then, I became suspicious when I began to notice at least 6 or more per day of the lil’ buggers while on my way to work. While driving down my 1/2 mile driveway they wait till the very last minute to fly away! Not very smart birds, but very pretty.

  3. Love the picture. I saw 5 at my feeder today. I had a hard time taking a picture and look you are holding one. I live in Alexandria, LA and this was a first for me. Pretty cool.
