Butterflies of Cyprus

I’d heard something about it, but I was recently reminded about this website for the Butterflies of Cyprus. The informational resources are great if you’re the slightest bit interested in butterfly-watching. It offers (1) an accurate, peer-reviewed Cyprus butterfly species list; (2) notes on distinguishing features on species; and (3) great photos of a nice variety of the butterfly species.

It also complements the butterfly recording scheme that dedicated volunteers have to keep track of these insects’ diversity. Anyone can contribute sightings and photos (please do!), which help to build a database for current and future conservation projects by the Cypriot authorities.
